The beautifully patterned leaves of the common lady fern is the central image in this solar plate monoprint

I used other leaves and ferns as resists and inked "plates" with water-based inks to make the multiple-layered background.

This print is one in a series of fifteen that feature the flora edging the woods and fields around my home.
