The intricate patterns leaves and ferns around my New Hampshire home provided the idea and materials for this monoprint,

I used the leaves as resists and inked "plates" to make the multiple-layered background of a solar plate print of a striped maple leaf.Water-based Akua-Kolor inks were used throughout.

This print is one of fifteen in a series that feature the flora edging the woods and fields around my home.
