I tried to capture the soft warm tones and colors of the Southwest on a warm afternoon into this print.
The print was made from printed two textured copper plates, each inked with different color inks. The plate were first roughened by grinding it with carborundum grit and then burnishing a pattern into it. I learned this non-chemical method for preparing copper aquatint plates from Anita Hunt in a workshop at Zea Mays Printmaking Studio. Edition of 2.
