Editioned Prints > Abstracts

Pictures and reports of the 2010-2011 floods in Queensland, Australia inspired this print. While the deluges devastated agriculture and wildlife, the resultant landscapes, seen in aerial and satellite surveys, captivated me with their patterned beauty.

This particular print is meant to suggest a bird's eye view of tree tops surrounded by water and swimming serpents, washed from their dens.

Color variations in the ink led to a series of prints made from the same copper plate. Edition of two.
